Is Paul Ryan the new GOP heavyweight contender for 2012?

Is Paul Ryan the new GOP heavyweight contender for 2012?

Hes very smart and seems like he could fully embarrass anyone he debates..

no just a talking head

by Stephen

I’ve been impressed with him for a couple months now, still some time yet but he looks very probable at this point..

by vin

Nope, he is to young, and after cutting the old folks $ ocial $ ecurity and health care, (R)yan has no chance.

You can’t win the GOP primary your first time out. McCain, Dole, Nixon, Bush 41, Reagan all had to run before winning.

Bush 43 only got it because his father gave him instant recognizability.

Meaning it will Romney or Huckabee.

Hilarious.

Well he does have two first names like Ricky Bobby. lol

Ron Paul seems to be winning the last night debate polls…?

http://www.topix.com/issue/fox/gop-debate-aug11#

you can still vote!

Ron Paul 2012!

As long as Ron Paul sees no problem with letting Iran build a nuke, he’ll never get my vote… That’s just crazy!

by kathy_is_a_nurse

Holy *** he has a huge lead on the others. Hopefully Americans are finally waking up and see that Ron paul is for real and he could help America get back to its values. The only thing is that Ron Paul will have a tougher time because he is stepping on some toes with the establishment so they will make it as hard for him as they can to make sure he doesn’t get elected. The establishment doesn’t care about political parties they care more about power. they will get one puppet (like Obama and Bush) to run the government and when americans get tired of the party in power the establishment will get new puppets to run against the old puppets so the establishment will remain in power.

i watched the debates . it seemed each one had their own favorite way to enable the zionist agenda of greed of wall street , corporations , and the bankers . yet absolutely NOTHING for the working man . good luck in 2012 .

by railroad dave

Are you kidding??? I thought Ron Paul didn’t do well at all!

Don’t get me wrong…I don’t dislike many of his ideas because I think we’ve overextended ourselves in many areas. But, we as a nation did that to ourselves being the most economically sound nation around the world with the strongest military.

Ron Paul thinks if we bury our heads in the sand…all our enemies will leave us alone. Don’t bet on that!

Iran has made it clear that any friend of Israel is an enemy of Iran. They’ve also made it clear that our US Navy fleet is a “target” of which they will attack if opportunity avails itself.

Terrorists have shown us very clearly how easy it is to attack our nation.

Ron Pauls ideas of minding our own business isn’t going to make the global problems that affect this nation go away!

i voted in about 18 polls todays. he was ahead by significant margins in all but 2.

What is the GOP’s plan to take back the White House in 2012? Besides opposing Obama, a failed strategy?

Many people here seem to be acting as if it will be a piece of cake, taking back the White House in 2012, all they have to do is not be Obama. Which is a silly way to think. Go back in recent history, and see the power of the incumbency. Jimmy Carter, an incumbent, who many here say is the worst president ever, was in a neck and neck race with Ronald Reagan, and likely would have been re-elected, if not for a poor debate performance the last few days before the election. George W. Bush, who many say is the worst president ever, was an incumbent, and got re-elected, despite a so-so economy, horrible news daily from Iraq at that time. So what will the GOP’s plan be, saying they are not Obama is clearly not enough, saying they’ll go back to the GOP platform, which they abandoned under Bush, will likely be laughed at as another lie. Remember, its the people who don’t follow politics all that closely that will decide the next election, things like Acorn, and Czars don’t matter to them, economic issues do, however. To me, at the moment, Obama looks like a near lock for re-election. The only thing that could trip him up is a dismal economy in 3 plus years.
you’re more than welcome to put Palin up against Obama…i’ll take those odds every moment of every day
but “Well Duh!”, that strategy may work for you, but it won’t work for the people you need to vote Obama out, so enjoy living in ignorance, and have another 4 Obama years, thinking that way

A failed strategy is quite enough for me.

by Well Duh!

Revive the Constitution and Patriotism. I for one am sick of candidates ignoring the founding principles and SARAH PALIN IS THE CANDIDATE. This is why the left is so afraid of her.

Be afraid! Be very afraid Here she comes, Sarah Palin!

by White House Watching

if the economy comes back… it’s basically over… Obama will win in a landslide, barring some Nixonian blunder…

if the economy and Afghanistan stays the same, it’s hard to say…

if it gets worse, could be a good thing for Republicans…

by g

Look at the last election, Obama won by claiming that McCain would be 4 more years of Bush. It would be a lot easier for someone to claim that if they elect Obama again it will be 4 more years of Obama than it was for Obama to claim that McCain would be for more years of Bush.

Most people in this country are concerned about the economy and it doesn’t seem to look like Obama is doing very good in that area. Most think his $ 787 billion dollar stimulus is failing and that it is going to be their children that will have to pay back this very large amount of money. Millions of people have lost their jobs and until they go back to work then they are not going to see Obama as someone who can do a good job on the economy. He is having trouble with Afghanistan, ACORN, Czars and does not have to many things going his way at all. He will have to do much better in all areas if he wants to get re-elected. Along with all that there is a growing number of people who are disgusted with the government in general and will want to get rid of the people who are not listening to the people and pushing agendas like health care against the will of the people instead of trying to fix the economy.

How is a Muslim like…?

Obama, so ignorant of Muslim customs, as Ann Coulter and Hannity have debated.

http://video.foxnews.com/v/4677559/the-first-2012-gop-debate#/v/4678190/ann-coulter-on-bin-laden-photos/?playlist_id=87485

My favorite part is Coulter telling us exactly what Muslim culture is about, “They respect the big man..they all think of themselves as inferior…” So should we, as Coulter suggests, show our dominance over the Muslims by releasing the photos? If, so would you rather smack them on the nose with a news paper or maybe mount and dry hump them to show that we are top dog?

As a side question: Does Coulter’s obvious understanding of the inter-workings of the muslim culture confirm what we have all long suspected, that Coulter is in fact, herself a Muslim, born in Sweden?
Rankine,
I feel sorry for you. Either you can’t read more than five words in a row or you don’t pick up on rather heavy sarcasm. Actually I would liken it more to farce, definitely not even close to a light footed Swift-ien satire.

Sean hannity is a pussy 1$ $ b-!tch and so is ann coulter, they’re deluded christian morons

on an idiot believes in god

by Anti-Peta Conservative

Since Obama is not a Muslim, your post fails.

I’ve been impressed with him for a couple years now. He’s one of the smartest people in politics. I know that’s a low bar, but he actually is very bright. I’ve seen him give interviews on MSNBC. Even with an audience that hostile he can get a clear message across, win the debate and draw out grudging agreement. I’ve been telling any who are interested in politics to start paying attention to Paul Ryan.
